Company
Vivera is an innovative and sustainability-committed producer of chilled meat-replacement products. Offering tasty, innovative and reliable supplies of chilled meat replacers to their partners in the food chain, is the purpose of Vivera. Started 30 years ago as a brand and expanded within the Enkco Food Group, they became independent in 2014. In the Netherlands, Vivera is the market leader and they are trying to achieve the same in other European countries. Their goal is to move people in changing their eating patterns by eating less meat. They believe in the so-called “Goodness Movement” and that the world will be a better place without people eating meat. Vivera recently opened a new, 100% meat-less production plant in Holten, with a focus on vega products. The production plant meets or exceeds the latest environmental footprint. The company produces its own biogas, replacing 3% of the natural gas used, by transferring organic residues from wastewater of the production process to the Veluwe Water Board’s new fermenting plant in Apeldoorn. The majority of ingredients are locally sourced, such as from the lupine fields in Holten.
The market for meat replacement products is very fast growing. Vivera is expecting a growth of more than 30% over the coming years.
